The Faith in Action team coordinates and sponsors events each year that has a positive impact on individuals and the surrounding communion. These impact ministries reflect our commitment as a community of faith to share the love of God through service to our neighbor.
HUNGER MINISTRY
University Lutheran Feast Incarnate .We look forward to supporting the weekly hospitality ministry at University Lutheran Feast Incarnate serving meals for approximately 120 people affected by HIV/AIDS and others in need of food in the local community. Volunteers cook and/or drive down to the
church with us to help serve a meal
INGATHERING
We gather gifts and other items to be distributed through Lutheran Services throughout the five county area in the Southeastern Pennsylvania. Here are a few annual events:
- Gift for children at Christmas
- Breakfast bags for seniors
- Educational and consumable supplies for Central Philadelphia congregations
WELCOME CHURCH
Participate in an outdoor worship service with the homeless in Philadelphia. The Welcome Church is an ELCA congregation proclaiming the hope and love of a gracious God to all people and especially to people experiencing homelessness.
