Every Sunday morning from September through May, the halls of Christ’s Church are alive with the sounds of children, teachers, and parents learning together.
The Family Table
Every Sunday during the school year, children ages 2 – 5th grade, parents, and any others interested, will gather at 9 AM in Parish Hall for a special hour. We will share Communion, pray, sing, do service projects, and explore Bible stories in exciting ways. We are moving away from the 19th and 20th century model of the Sunday School classroom where teacher presents and children listen, towards a more interactive family format, with multiple generations learning and sharing together.
Confirmation
Confirmation students meet monthly in Room 203 to grow in faith, study and discuss scripture and the teachings of the Lutheran church, and work to apply their fait to their in daily lives.
Outreach: Every year our youth undertake a special service project. The kids have provided significant support to Heifer International, the Rosebud Lakota Reservation in South Dakota, Habitat for Humanity, the Ninh Thuan Orphanage in Vietnam and Covenant House.
Christmas Eve Family Service: Each Christmas Eve at 4 PM, the children lead a beautiful worship service, playing roles in a pageant, singing carols, and playing instruments.
