IT WAS A BLAST! (GALACTIC BLAST, THAT IS)!

The week of June 21-25 marked another terrific Vacation Bible School at CLC. Our big crew of spacemen and women were lovingly led by a phenomenal staff…we had 31 youth involved as counselors, junior counselors and area leaders, along with 15 adult helpers! Special thanks to my co-leader, Deb Kerr ,and music leader, Chris Mudge, and to Pastor Kay for her enthusiastic support. Through games, Bible stories, songs, snacks, crafts, and science projects, the children learned so much about our awesome, incredible, amazing God. We also raised over $200 to support an orphanage in Tanzania. It has been a joy to notice that VBS serves not only the kids of our congregation but many other area children as well—it is truly some of the most important outreach we do in our community! –Elise

Vacation Bible School is a delightful early summer tradition at Christ’s. Each year in late June, a happy crowd of kids ages 4-8, along with a team of adult leaders and teenage counselors,  enjoys a week of games, stories, crafts, snacks and songs. Past themes have included Crocodile Dock, Avalanche Ranch, VeggieTales and Serengeti Trek. VBS  is a fun-filled way for kids to learn about the wonder of God’s love!
