Small Group Ministry Bible Study Associate Pastor Hy Imhof leads Bible studies every Tuesday at 9:30 AM in six-week sessions from September through November, then January through May. These are times for prayer, study, and sharing in intimate small groups.
Bible study is entitled DAILY DISCIPLESHIP. For those people who find it difficult to attend the morning sessions, and/or do not have computer access to it, yet would like to participate in the study (which is based on each Sunday's gospel, copies will be available in the Narthex for the following Sunday. On the third Tuesday of the month, there is an evening group as well, which meets from 8 to 9 pm. There will be refreshments from 9 to 9:30 pm. Both groups gather in Room 200. Hershey's chocolate kisses are available! If you've never been to a Bible study, try it! Personal sharing of thoughts, experiences, and prayers will give your FAITH a lift! NOT FOR WOMEN ONLY! Come for one or all sessions! The Daily Discipleship study will always be for the following Sunday, as outlined above. (ie. on September 9, we will study the scripture for September 14.) Women's CirclesYoung mothers, career women, retirees ... the women of Christ's have special feelings and experiences to share at their different stages of life. Faith, Joy, Rose, Lamb ... the women's circles of Christ's each have a unique character, designed to support faith and fellowship at every age. Some circles meet during the day, some in the evenings, some at church, and some in members' homes. JOY CIRCLE meets on the second Thursday of each month at 9:30 am in Room 200 in the education wing. The women of the ELCA of Christ's Church extend a warm welcome to all the ladies of the congregation to join us for a pre-Christmas breakfast on Wednesday morning, December 10 at 9:30 am in Room 200. This is a fine opportunity to get to know other members and to prepare spiritually for Christmas in a quiet, no-rush atmosphere. The Rose Circle will be the hostesses. Miriam Park has the topic.
Men's Group The Men's Group of CLC is an informal group including all men in the congregation!! We will be holding a kickoff meeting on Tuesday, November 18, from 7-8:30 at the home of Mike Jancola to gather ideas for events in the coming year. If you would like to be involved with the planning, have some ideas, or just want a chance to socialize with other guys from CLC, please come! Snacks and beverages will be provided. The Women's Retreat took place on February 29 - March 2, 2008. We spent a wonderful and restful weekend at lovely Mensch Mill Retreat Center in Alburtis, just an hour from home. The 2008 Men's Retreat took place on April 25-27 at Hawk Mountain. 60 Plus/Minus Seniors It's Christmas Party Time!December 11, 2008, at 12 pm Come and get together with your friends and hopefully meet some new ones. Enjoy your lunch from party trays ($4) and bring a $5 gift for Santa's gift bag. As always, dessert and a beverage will be supplied. Entertainment will be Santa Claus (aka Pastor Shafer).
