Christ’s Lutheran Church will host a light breakfast and presentation by the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association. This is a free program.
Many of us have had picnics at Valley Green, fed the ducks and taken great hikes throughout the Wissahickon Valley. Come learn just how important a role the creek has in more than just recreation – for example, it supplies 10% of the drinking water in Philadelphia.
There will be a 25-minute film about the history of the Creek, the development of the Wissahickon Valley, and how suburbia has affected our waterways. Discover ways to have a positive impact on the creek in your daily activities – clean water has a huge impact on the environment and on all of our lives!
Presenter Lindsay Blanton, Water Quality Outreach Coordinator of the WVWA, will hold a Q&A session after the film. All are welcome who are interested in caring for our environment!
